Julie Shaffer, CPSM

Owner/Consultant/Graphic Designer | Shaffer Creative, LLC

Why did you pursue CPSM certification?

As an independent consultant, adding the CPSM designation increases my professional credibility. Peer pressure helps, too.

Did you participate in a CPSM study group? If so, what did you gain? If not, how did you study?

Although I did not participate in an official CPSM study group, I did study with fellow CPSM Pam Conine. We met weekly over several weeks to prepare for the exam and review the practice questions.

What would you recommend to anyone considering taking the exam?

Read the material. Take the practice exams. Repeat.

Now that you’ve earned your CPSM, what is your next big personal or professional goal?

To get my marketing intern fully trained so that I can focus on goals for growing my business.

Fun Fact About You / Hobby

I’m an avid photographer, and I love taking photos of my seniors! My daughter is a senior in college, and my son is a senior in high school.
