Last Friday was the first New Member Lunch of the 2015-2016 year. We had five board members and six new members attend the lunch, which was at Chuy’s in Fort Worth. 6th Anniversary Bash

We had a successful anniversary bash last week at Waters, Bonnell's Coastal Cuisine, thanks to all that attended!

Shonnah B. Driver, SMPS Fort Worth 2014-2015 President and Marketing Manager for Baird, Hampton & Brown, Inc., took a few minutes to share some incredible stats from the year, she said thank you to the current board members, as well as introduced next year’s board and much more. Stats Shared:

  • We currently have 67 members, a record high!
  • The chapter has the healthiest finances in chapter history with $30,000 in the bank!
  • Attendance was phenomenal at the events in the 2014-2015 year. Over 175 members attended one or more of the 29 events and over 350 non-members participated.

Make-A-Wish® North Texas

SMPS Fort Worth collected 5% of all program registrations in 2014-2015 and was honored to make a $1,000 donation to Make-A-Wish® North Texas.

CPSM Study Group

We are forming a study group for those with a desire to earn their Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM). This achievement puts you amongst an elite group of professional services marketers who have invested in themselves and understand as well as embrace the need for continuous improvement through education, enhancing their opportunity for professional success. If you are interested in joining the study group, please contact Tara Anderson.

Membership

The Membership Committee promotes the benefits of SMPS membership and assists in the process. If interested, contact Gloria Moss.

Communications

The Communications Committee is responsible for our website, social media, printed programs and signage at events, PR, etc. If interested, contact Courtney Kearney.

Programs

The Programs Committee develops and coordinates SMPS Fort Worth events, such as industry roundtables, panel discussions, and project site tours. If interested, contact Christine Jacoby.

Education

The Education Committee develops and coordinates all educational events for the SMPS Fort Worth Chapter. These events include: seminars, workshops, CPSM study group, and our popular summer boot camp series. If interested, contact Krystal Rawls Bybee.

Treasurer

The Treasurer is looking for a co-chair to come alongside and learn all things finance for our chapter. This co-chair role would take over as the Treasurer for 2017-2019 years. If interested, contact Diana Witherspoon Rivera.

Sponsorship

The Sponsorship Committee searches for firms looking for exposure to the A/E/C industry to become annual or event specific sponsors. If interested, contact Jamie Knox.

As one year draws to a close under Shonnah’s leadership another one begins to blossom as Jenifer Batchelder steps into the President seat.
