Michael Baker Jr. Inc., an engineering unit of Michael Baker Corporation, seeks a Marketing Manager I for our Arlington, Texas Office.
The Marketing Manager I will manage solicited and unsolicited marketing efforts to include: leading architectural and engineering proposal and/or presentation production efforts as well as coordinate team efforts in the preparation of high-quality submissions. Assist in establishing strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, English, or related field
- 5 or more years experience leading the planning, preparation, and production of architectural & consulting engineering proposals and qualification packages for government and private architectural & engineering clients
- Ability to directly supervisor 1-2 employees in various marketing positions
- Ability to oversee and support the tracing of opportunities
- Proficient knowledge of Government Standard Forms 330, 254, and 255
- Extensive knowledge of business services
- Ability to meet competing deadlines by managing and prioritizing multiple projects - including the writing, editing and organization of technical documents
- Effectively solve problems creatively & independently with strong decision making & conceptual thinking skills, organization, and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to communicate & coordinate with other offices remotely through the use of technology
- Must have strong MS Office Suite skills: Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point
- Ability to accommodate a moderate travel schedule
Preferences:
- Experience with Transportation submissions including TxDOT
- Adobe Illustrator, PhotoShop, InDesign, and Quark Xpress

Job Requirements:

Marketing/ Inside Sales Coordinator
Organizes, coordinates, and controls activities involved in the preparation of marketing proposals, presentations, and submittals.
- Gathers information about prospects and participates in proposal strategy in support of firm’s principals and other marketing professionals.
- Participates in the development of and is responsible for maintaining all marketing resource materials— brochures, data, slides, color copies, photographs, files, and client database.
- Manages, coordinates, writes, reviews, and edits text, graphics, and metrics for sales documents such as proposals, qualifications, and presentation slides.
- Develops, produces, and maintains additional sales materials, such as resumes, project descriptions, memos, letters, etc.
- Completes and/or directs the completion of government forms, client questionnaires and qualifying statements as required.
- Work often involves composing or editing answers to technical, essay type questions.
- Monitors all prospects and coordinates with and assists other marketing members.
- Coordinates, assembles and prepares materials for client presentations and interviews, in accordance with corporate image program and desktop publishing guidelines.
- Maintains back-up data on project and office personnel; assures that resume file information is current, and accurate.
- Responsible for all group mail-outs; maintains mailing lists. Coordinates work with outside vendors (electronic transfer of data, reprographics, binding, etc.) and consultants.
- Prepares status reports on marketing efforts.
- Assist with conference/seminar presentations.
- May also perform special projects and other reasonable business-related duties as requested.
Training and Experience
- 5 years progressive experience in marketing or sales with a professional services firm is required
- Experience in infrastructure or transportation industry is preferred
- Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or commensurate experience
- Experience with preparing proposals, brochures and PowerPoint presentations
- Must have experience working in accordance with strict timelines and deadlines.
- Experience working independently supporting a multi location team in the US
