Your Chapter at Work for You!

For the times they are a-changing

Shonnah Driver | Baird, Hampton & Brown, Inc. | 2014-2015 SMPS Fort Worth Chapter President

The rain has stopped and we are many events into what has been a fantastic year for SMPS Fort Worth. I think we all have seen a tremendous uptick in our industries and are happy to be in the positions that so many AEC firms find themselves in…hard at work.

As a chapter hard at work, we have made tremendous efforts to bring our members the latest and greatest in programming. Our past three luncheons: Delivery Methods Dissected, Fast & Furious Fort Worth and Leading Principals Speak: Building Business, provided some great information from industry and community leaders. You can read the recaps herehere and here.

This month we welcome our new members to the chapter with an Ice Cream Social at MELT and we partner with other local organizations for a Welcome Reception for the City of Fort Worth’s new Water Director. Won’t you join us?

This year SMPS Fort Worth will celebrate 6 years. We hope you can join us in August as we bid a warm farewell to the year, and ring in a new one with Fort Worth Style.

To a great year,
Shonnah Driver
SMPS Fort Worth President 2014-2015

PS. I hope to see some fellow Fort Worthians at the national conference in Los Angeles August 19-21.

How Can SMPS Benefit You?

What is the SMPS Foundation?

Julie Shaffer | Shaffer Creative | SMPS Immediate Past President

The SMPS Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization established by the Society for Marketing Professional Services to promote research and education that advances professional services marketing in the design and building industry. Work is funded entirely by voluntary, tax-deductible contributions from individuals and corporate donors who recognize the critical role of marketing in successful A/E/C firms and who wish to invest in its future. Basically, the Foundation funds, conducts, and publishes original, industry leading research.

As a member of SMPS, not only do you have access to this research, but you also have the opportunity to influence and contribute to the type of research being conducted! Interested in being a contributing author? Learn more here, and then submit your application to serve as a researcher/author by May 29. It would be awesome to see the Fort Worth Chapter represented!
